SAP table relationships in SAP CRM [Part 1]

Some time ago I was involved in an SAP CRM Upgrade Project. During this project I’ve learned how SAP tables are connected in SAP CRM 7 and I would like to share the knowledge I gained.

The below CRM data model was used in the utilities industry. The upgrade was done with an accelerated near-zero downtime service using the SAP System Landscape Optimization Service, i.e. Migration Workbench which is part of the SAP Landscape Transformation service.

Here I’ve summarized how CRM IBASE is connected with Products, i.e. link between tables IBST, IBSP, IBIN, IBIB and COMM_PRODUCT.

how CRM IBASE is connected

Connection between CRM IBASE with Product

IBST-INSTANCE = IBSP-INSTANCE

IBSP-INSTANCE = IBIN-INSTANCE

IBIN-OBJNR = (via the Function module GUID_CONVERT) = COMM_PRODUCT-PRODUCT_ID

IBIN-IBASE = IBIB-IBASE

In my next blog of SAP table relationships in SAP CRM you can read about how CRM Product is connected with Point of Deliveries (POD), i.e. link between tables COMM_PRODUCT, COMM_PR_FRG_REL, ISU_POD, COMM_PRPRDCATR.
